Habits Can Make You a Millionaire
I have been studying and reading a lot about wealth, and the minds of the ultra wealthy, not the plastic happy :-p
And one common denominator between all of them is their habit forming abilities.
We are all capable of owning this power because it’s a part of our DNA, but unfortunately many of us missed that lesson in school, oh yeah that’s because our school system doesn’t teach us that.
Developing habits works simply like this, you have a creative thought (likely about something you desire or want to change or incorporate in to your life), and you then obtain the knowledge needed to decide on the actions needed to bring the thought into a reality.
If your mind decides that it is reasonably doable, the combination of your actions and conscious thought process, begin to migrate in to the back of your head (sub conscious- the place that operates your breathing, heart beating, blinking eyes etc) and form as a subconscious habit, something that you just begin to do naturally and without another thought.
When this thought moves on in this manner, it frees up your conscious mind from the daunting task of trying to hold on to all your creative thoughts.
See we tend to make our conscious minds work more than they are capable of; they are only able to think a creative though, and decide if it’s doable.
But if you keep thinking up stuff yet never do anything about it then your conscious mind begins to get crowded with thoughts, and your anxiety/fear begins to grow. This is like a symptom of “Overloaditis” of the mind. A disease that preys on us all.
There is too much information coming at us every day, so it’s important that you learn how to channel your priority thoughts, and start clearing out your mind database.
I highly recommend your David Allen’s Getting Things Done-The Art of Stress Free Productivity, this book really helped me do a mind dump on my creative thought, and how I organize my focus.
I also highly recommend meditation. Mainly because meditation helps that loud mind of yours to shut up and focus on the joy of being even if only for a few moments, and when you come back from this meditative state you will find that you seem to operate with much more refine clarity, and habit forming will begin to become much more of a natural process, as it should have always been.
When building your business, be sure to take one creative thought and work on it until it becomes habit forming, then and only then should you move on to the next marketing strategy or business idea that you may have.
Let these lessons also apply to every area of your life, they truly are life altering. A few months to a year from now I would not be surprised to see a dramatic change in the quality of your life!
